My litle ones are 5, 5 and 3, so we can get away with a lot of make believe stuff. (I know my older nephew is very hip to something not being a name brand "Thing")

    Anway,
I went to this site, http://teachers.santee.k12.ca.us/carl/Board Games Grove.htm
they have ton sof printables, but what we had the most fun with was the game boards.

I printed one on card stock and stapled it to a manilla folder. The I wrote in the squares, like "Go Back 3 Spaces", or Take Two Cards".

we rolled one die to advance. You followed the directions until you landed on a space that told you to take "X" number of cards. Then, if you got the answers right, you got to get a free turn.

For cards we used Dolcj sight words and Addition flash cards for the boys (Two differnt games)
Sasha has to play, of course, and for her she had to name a letter, or a sound, from her cards.

    The kids loved it!
So we wil do more sight words, then play a game with some subtraction flash cards.

Really it is the same thing as flash cards, but it makes it more of a game.

Just thought I would share that one!
    Jen
