Getting to sleep in while everyone is away sounds like a great way to start your birthday. I hope you have a wonderful day!!!   ~ Marylyn

Happy Birthday Jackie http://www.jackiechankids.com/images_2/Happy Birthday Jackie.JPG Sorry, I didn't know how to put the image on here, just the link.
I've not said anything, because I was at our Homeschool Conference all day!!! And the first thing I did when I got home was to call Marylyn's little sister Sarah to wish HER a Happy Birthday, too. Marylyn, would you believe she wasn't home!!! (I know she use to have Bible Study on Friday, or maybe Ben took her out...as if her DH is more important than ME, lol!) So I sang the funeral dirge version of Happy Birthday into her answering maching. I hope she'll figure out it was me!!! Anyway, thanks guys! You're all the greatest!
MARYLYN!!! I FORGOT IT WAS KATIE'S B-DAY, TOO!!! How's the big 3YO doing? I finally got hold of Essa tonight and she reminded me! She also sent me pictures of your beautiful little neice. AHHHHHHHH....... Anyway, give Katie a big Birthday Hug from me!!!
I'm glad you got in touch with Sarah, Jackie. Isn't Bekah cute?!? Katie is doing great. She's a very cute, happy little monkey. She climbs on EVERYTHING - and then JUMPS down. Yikes! She is saying more and more words, which we're very happy about. She's way behind in her speech - even farther behind than Joy was at her age. ECI has been coming to the house for the past year to give her speech and developmental therapy, but that all stopped when she turned 3. She is going to go to the Special Ed. 3 year old program at the Pre-K school this coming year. It's only 2.5 hours per day, which is great. Their Pre-K program is all-day-every-day which is a very long time for a 4 year old to be away from home. It was good for Joy last year, though. Did your girls have a good time at camp?
Yes. they had a wonderful time at camp! And Carl took Phillip to the Air Force Museum in Dayton and they spent the night there, so I had an evening all to myself!!! I'd agree that a full day wouldn't be a good idea for Katie right now. See how she does this year, and then maybe next year. Is it the same program Joy was in? I know how much good you feel it did her!
It's the same school Joy went to. Joy didn't do the 3 year old program there, though. Katie is used to being at church on Tuesdays for that long while I'm at Bible study, so I think she will be ok at school, too. I'm hoping they have enough kids in the program to have an afternoon session. Katie doesn't do mornings well... I wonder where she got that from??
