Hoping all my friends here have a really blessed 2012! We went to a party last night. Had a lovely time! Phillip took the used guitar he got for Christmas; he planned on "practicing" with a friend who brought his father's guitar. They position their fingers, strum, pause to reposition for the second chord, strum, pause to reposition for the first chord, strum....lol!!! His goal right now is to get to the place where he can switch from one to the other without hesitation. ANYWAY, the son of the people having the party was a young 20-something guy who is VERY musically inclined. I pointed the boys out to Brian, and asked if he'd wander over that way, listen to them for a few minutes, and then just say something encouraging to them. Well, next thing I knew, there was Brian, sitting with HIS guitar with the boys, strumming with them! On the way home, Phillip very excitedly told me that "...he showed me an easier way to play a C!!!" (And Brian isn't even homeschooled, lol!!!)
Happy new years to you and your family Jackie. I am so happy that your son had a great time. We stayed up and watched movies until the new years rolled in. At midnight we said happy new years and at 12:01 I said BED TIme! lol My sister in law and her daughter (with her two little boys) and sis in laws son came over after church today. We BBQ and had a great time visiting.. They just left and boy I am bushed... it may be time for bed! LOL
