For those of you who have no idea who St. Nicholas is he is how santa got his name. St. Nicholas was a boy whos parents died in an epidemic. He was a rich kid. He sold all he had to take care of the poor and needy. It is said that he would throw gold into peoples windows and that it would land in there shoes by the fire. He helped woman from being sold into slavery by providing the money for there dowry. He helped kids being sold into slavery. St. Nicholas was a kind and gentle man. He moved around in the dark of night so that noone would know that it was him helping the poor and needy. He wants people to share what they have and to not be so greedy. So when you think of santa claus remember what the true St. Nicholas was like. He wanted people to share the things they have. Whether it be food, wealth, love or prayer.
