Suggestions for "fun" 6th grade science/social studies? Hi, I was hoping to find suggestions for 6Th grade science/social studies courses that are possibly a little bit hands-on & fun. (Do such things exist?) We have a very rigorous English/Language Arts/Grammar program, as this is where my son (6th grade) was falling behind in PS. Our math is an advanced course also. We were hoping to find something in the science and ss areas that wouldn't involve a huge amount of textbook reading, as we have A LOT of reading already, and he has an eye muscle issue that makes reading for extended periods painful (physically for him, mentally for me ). Does anyone have any suggestions?
