I just learned about this free resource from this forum just a few days ago. It looks like something I'd like to try. However, I can't figure out where to place my children. They were late readers (two are still learning) and are very behind in math - most likely due to my own math phobia. The FAQs mentions a grade level assessment test but I can't find it. Does anyone know where it is?
It looks like it does a behind the scenes assessment and adjusts things based on how your kids do on the different levels. Sounds to me like you could START them where you think they should be and then the system would adjust to where they really are without you having to do anything. I would caution about HOC that they do resell their email lists...they actually state right in the T&C that your info will be handed to their partners. Also, the content will have advertising, you might want to monitor to make sure it's appropriate for children. Otherwise...looks like an inexpensive way to get started.
We used this last year and will be using it again this year I've had no issues and highly recommend it
You can put them in the grade they belong in, then you can go into their accounts and change things up a bit as far as their levels I believe.
Yes, this is possible. For instance, worksheets don't work in this house for lots of reasons so we skip those. I also skip over anything she already knows and doesn't need to review.
