I don't know a pop-blocker right off but go to microsoft's website and download their Windows Defender and get whatever spyware off...maybe it's compromising your program.

    Defender is FREE.

You may want to run a spyware program to see if there is anything already on your computer from the yucky pop ups. Ad-Aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/) and Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html) are both very good, and are free. Some people like running both, on the theory that if one of them missed something, the other might find it. It wouldn't hurt. :)

After that, I use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/). It is also free. Most of the yucky viruses and other nasties floating around are aimed at Internet Explorer, since that is what most people use. Firefox is easy to use; is customizable, which is very nice (I have a kitty theme); and is really safe.

don't forget to clean out your "cookies" and temp files and stuff.......... Make sure your pop up blocker is on (go into your control panel to do stuff)
