I have been lurking here for a while and decided it was finally time to join and post. I will be homeschooling for the first time this upcoming school year. My son will be going into K and I also have a 3 year old son. We are really excited to do this and I have learned a lot of great things on this site already!!
Hi Christy, I am Beth in NC. We have finished our first year homeschooling. I loved the whole year. We have seven children in all. Three married, two seniors next year in public high school, a daughter going into 9th and one going into 4th who we homeschool. I wish I had done like you and started homeschooling from the very beginning. I love being with my children. My husband is a retired detective and he works weekends at LOWE'S. He helped some this year with the girls and plans on doing even more next year. He loves doing science with them. Welcome. I know you will love it here. Everyone has been so helpful to me. Beth
Welcome Christy, we have been hsing since K and Elijah will be in 7th grade in Sept. I am also hsing Gianna - 3. We have our good days and bad days, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Hey Christy! My dh is from FL. We are in our 3rd yr. of hs'ing. I have 3 dd's -5th, 6th and 7th grade. It gets better every year. This is a great site --glad you're here.

Hi Christy, I'm pretty new here as well. My name is Sommer and I'm a homeshool addict. No wait a minute.. wrong place... this is where I come to feed the addiction Anyway, "last year" was my first year homeschooling. I wish I would have started from the beginning, but you live and learn. My oldest will be a "3rd grader" next year and my 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 year olds will begin playing with some preschool stuff. Oh yeah.. we live in PA but my brother and his family live in PT ST Lucie. There is so much to be learned here it is unreal, and everyone is so nice! I find myself here a few times a day (anytime I get a free second)... anyway Welcome.

Welcome Christy! Glad to have you here. What part of FL are you from. We spend a good bit of time there. You are going to love HSing. There is lots of info her and tons of support. These ladies are awesome, I'm sure you'll fit right in.
