Hi all, My name is Shari, we are getting ready to start our last four years of this journey. My youngest daughter is 15 and she will be 9th grade hard to believe.We are using CLASS,to hold her accountable to someone else besides me. I am married to my bestfriend,we just celebrated 21 years and will continue for fifty more. I have an adult daughter from a previous marriage, she is 32 married with five children. Her and her husband live outside of St. Louis,MO. She was never homeschooled(cause I didn't know about this lifestyle then). We have a 20 year old daughter who was homeschooled, and is getting ready to do college online. She was the reason we started homeschooling because of a teacher who broke her spirit. We also have three cats..who allow us to live with them.

CLASS is Christian Liberty Academy Satalite (sp) School, the curriculum is like what is used in the day school and you send in the test and such to be graded. They keep all the transcripts and issue report cards. It is also alot cheaper than K12(which we like).
I am in Chicago, about five hours from you. My oldest lives about an hour or so south of St. Louis. What are tea parties? I don't think so because I am in Graduate School online and don't get the time off.
Thank you for the welcome, I have never had Partillo's and I have lived here 16 yrs!!! My husband has lived here all his life,except for when he was in the military, and hasn't had it either...hmmm wonder if they will be at the Taste of Chicago this year...might be worth fighting the crowds..LOL

Welcome! My boys graduated last year after homeschooling from K-12 using Abeka. I like your comment about cats. The difference between dogs and cats, dogs have masters, cats have staff! LOL We have two kittens and I found some orphaned kittens, their mommy passed away so I am bottle feeding them. Welcome and enjoy the spot!

You've never had Partillos:?? whats wrong with yuus? The fries are nothing to write home about but you can't get any kind of Italian beef sandwich here...... so I make my own still not as good.
Welcome Sheri. I am in wyoming but I would like to know how you like the class program. Our girls have a ways to go yet they are 9, 7, and 4 but I have been looking at CLASS ever since k for a highschool program. It seems like it would be a good fit for us. Oh, like I said we have 3 girls, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 rabbits, 4 horses ummm 6-7 cows, and about 30 chickens oh and 6 turkeys.
Welcome! I am so sorry to hear that a teacher (an adult!) broke your daughter's spirit. That is so disappointing. The teacher is in a position of power and authority, and it is devastating when this position is abused. Enjoy your homeschooling journey.
