My name is Michelle, and I am a happy homeschooling mom in Montana. We are in our 5th year and plan to home educate all 3 of our lovely children through high-school (God willing!). My oldest son is 15, my middle son is 14 and my youngest daughter is 12. We enjoy our Montana lifestyle which includes a lot of outdoor activities. We like to travel and meet other homeschoolers. Nice to 'meet' everyone, I look forward to getting to know you all!! Michelle
Hi Michelle, Welcome to a great place with great people. I am in my first year homeschooling the youngest two of our seven children. I wish I had never sent any of them to public school but I can't change the past. I have found so much support and advice here and just someone to vent to a few times. It really is a friendly place. Glad you are here. Beth in NC
Hi Beth! Thank you for the warm welcome, and I have to say WOW SEVEN CHILDREN?!?! I am jealous! I hope you find hs'ing to be a blessing, it really has been for my family (with all the ups and downs that come with it). My 3 went to ps for their early years, and I am thankful they did because they know what they are missing and want no part of it! Anyway, nice to meet you. Look forward to getting to know everyone. Michelle PS (oops! I just noticed I posted this in the wrong thread, maybe an administrator can move it for me!)
Welcome! I have always daydreamed about living in Montana. What a gorgeou state!!! Welcome to the forum!
Hi Aurie! Feel free to live vicariously through me!! Montana is a very special place and I feel blessed to raise my family here. I encourage everyone to come visit at least once in their lifetime! Michelle
Hi, Michelle. I'm Pam. We are in our 3rd year of hs'ing. I have 4 kids (a ds- 10, and 3dd's- 8, 5, and 3), Welcome and join right in!
Hi Michelle, and welcome to the hs spot. I am glad you found us. My name is Kris I am from Texas I have been hs for 5 years, I have two dd's whom will be 12 and 14 in a few days. I to, also wanted to move out there, it sounds so neat and pretty.
Welcome, Michelle! I'm Jackie from central Ohio. I have a DD12, DD10, and DS who will be seven TOMORROW! I'm a homeschooler from Day One, and like you, plan on being a homeschooler until the last one is through (and will probably start on the g'kids, lol!)
Hi Michelle, WELCOME! We've actually discussed moving to Montana, or Idaho, but we like Washington state for now. We've been homeschooling for 9+ years, and I also have 3 children: ds15, ds13, and dd9. We plan to homeschool through highschool, and maybe beyond, who knows?!My dd was just a baby when we started homeschooling, and now she's in 5th grade! They grow so fast! That's one reason why I love homeschooling: I GET to be with my children as they grow! Plus, as everyone on here knows, I have the VERY BEST dh in the world!!!   This is a great "family" here! Glad you've joined us!
Hi Michelle: We're in our second year of hs with a dd-10 and ds-9. We also have seriously discussed moving to Montana. We've been there a few times and LOVE it. Where in Montana are you? Carol
Welcome and my family hasn't considered moving to Montana. LOL This is our 8th year homeschooling. I have 3 kids. Lorna in SC
Welcome! What part of Montana are you in? Most of my family lives in NW Montana. When we go to visit, we cross most of Montana on 1-90.
I-90 begins in Washington state! We use it to go visit my parents on the other side of the state than we are!
Hello Michelle!!!! Welcome! I am Patty and homeschool my little one. Emma will be 9 this Saturday. I am both happy she has lived a healthy life but sad because my baby is getting older too. Handsome was supposed to get a job in Montana. We would be out there for six months to a year but so far it looks as if things fell through. It is gorgeous out there. Glad you joined us!!! Patty
Hi! Sorry I haven't been back until now, we have all been battling a serious flu here, and things are just crazy with the holidays coming up. It looks like we're over the worst of it ~ but I think we're just going to take the rest of the month off and start fresh again in the new year. I live near Billings, Montana and we love it. We used to live up in the NW near Kalispell, which is G O R G E O U S but very expensive! My husband's job transferred us down here, and we were thankful because now we live where the cost of living on one income is a lot more manageable. Billings has everything a bigger city offers, and we are closer to my family who are all in Northern Wyoming and also we are about 2 hours from Yellowstone. (Well, until it erupts and takes out half of North America that is haha) Nice to meet you all too and hopefully I can join in more now that this darn flu has passed....hopefully it hasn't hit your homes ~ I wouldn't wish it on anyone!!
Hi Michelle! I have been homeschooling since my oldest was in K. I have three kids...dd 8, ds 6 and dd 19 months. I am glad you found Homeschoolspot! A great bunch of women are here. I know I have learned a lot! I don't think I would be as good a homeschooler as I am without them.
Hi and welcome! I am Vera and have 3 children: ds 10yo/add, dd 4yo/speech delays and a ds that is 3yo again with speech delays. My younger 2 attend a special ed preschool through our local school district. We are in our 3rd yr of homeschooling and everyday is different. We live in WA state. Me and the kiddo's actually got to see a bit of Montana last yr and loved it. We only went overnight to my aunt's in Garrison. I thought we arrived at the zoo or something but it was cool. My aunt has 5 llama's 3 horses, 1 goose, several cats, several ducks and chickens, 3 dogs, 1 hamster and 1 parakeet. lol. The no electricity kind of threw me a bit but it was nice. (my aunt doesn't have power at her place only a generator by their choice) One of these days i'll be able to go again... Again Welcome
