Hi everyone! I have been lurking here for a few weeks, and have been considering homeschooling for the past couple of years. DH and I have recently decided to home school our two boys (5 and 2 1/2), and today I gave my older son's preschool teacher notice that January will be his last month there. I was going to let him finish the year but lately he has not been wanting to go. I have asked him why and he just tells me he doesn't like it and he just wants to stay home with me. I recently read James Dodson's book "Raising Boys" and realized I need to listen to my little boy and let him be home with mommy. I am already getting discouragement from my mother about homeschooling, so I know I am going to need a support system and came across this community just in time it seems. Luckily my DH is wonderfully supportive and I know I can count on him to back me up as well. Anyway I hope to get to know you all better over the course of this daunting journey I am undertaking! -Melissa
