Hello, I just wanted to introduce my self. I have been hsing for about 6 months now. I have 4 dd's ages 11, 9, 7, and almost 9 months. I also have 2 step-children ages 11 and 6. I have been looking for a new hsing forum and I came across this site. It looks like I could learn alot here. I pulled my children out of ps because my two youngest 9 and 7 weren't learning the way that I thought they should and noone was helping them but myself. So, after many conferences and attempts to make these people understand I pulled them. After 6 months I have seen a great improvement and my dd's are now reading chapter books and are excelling at spelling and language arts. They just needed their mom to help them along. So I hope that I will be able to gain some much needed knowledge here. :grin:

Welcome! We pulled ds out in the middle of 1st grade...then put him in ps for 2nd and started hs'ing for the long haul last year from 3rd on. I also have a dd in 1st this year who has never been to ps--yippee! We are pretty relaxed. We use Math-U-See for both and Explode the Code for dd. I've been here for quite a while and love it more all the time. Hope you will too!
