hello everyone! my name is stephanie, i am 13, i am currently being homeschooled by my mother and i have been since 5th grade i love reptiles, music, movies, horse back riding, and dogs. well, i think thats all i have to say right now =)

Welcome Stephanie! Glad you came aboard. I like hearing from other kids that are homeschooled. Maybe you can share with us what curriculum (textbooks) that you use and tell us if you like them. I homeschool my two children in the Peach State! My dd is in 3rd and ds is PreK5.
thank you! do alot of homeschooled kids post here? textbooks- my mom spoke to mountain sky jr high, and they agreed to give her extra textbooks, so as of now, i am using 'math course 3 by larson, boswell,kanold and stiff' she also ordered me a new language and science book over the internet, im still waiting for it to come, i will let you know what they are when it shows up! lol all of the work i do, i have to mail in (im not sure where, my mom is the one who mails it) so most of my work is what they email me, im not sure if it comes from a textbook or not. my mom wants to know what textbooks she should order? (im in 8th grade, but alot of the work they email me, seem like the 7th grade curriculum..) i am planning on going to high school, so she wants to know what books will help prepare me.. thank you for your help!
Have you looked into Abecka? It is hard but will really prepare you for public high school. Glad you wrote in. What do you like to do as far as field trips? Lorna
welcome aboard I also homeschool a 13 year old and she is going to be in 8th grade. Abeka has a dvd program out there for you. American School is one I been looking at and trying to asnwer all my question is one to look at. glad to see you here.

(i told my mom, she said she will look in to it today) field trips?when we actualy go on educational trips? i love museums! my mom takes me to museums sometimes. i get to have fun, and my mom gets to teach me about our history. its a win win. =D i also like going to the rock museum (im not sure if thats what its called.. ) but it a huge out door area with a lot of rocks(that are huge!) that people long ago have written/drawn on, i am facinated by our history! and there are many animals that live in the rocks too. sometimes for fun, we go to the zoo.. lol, i try to get her to take me at least once a year, haha, i love animals and reptiles.
