Help! Does anyone know anything about caterpillars?

    Well, Ladies, our moths emerged! :D We released the first little brown fellow on June 29 and the second one emerged that night, so he got released on the 30th. Ds was very sad to see them go -- he worries that they won't make it on their own in the great outdoors! (He's a very compassionate child.) The moths didn't help matters, they clung to him and he had to gently place them on a bush. But they are now on their own.

    We've learned a lot and I've promised ds we will order butterfly eggs so he can see a chrysallis next time we do this!

    YEAH!!!! Good going!!! Did you take pictures of the moths when they emerged? Congratulations of a well-done job, start to finish!!!

    Unfortunately, both moths emerged when we weren't looking! (One at night, I think and the other while we were at home, but between times we checked. :cry: ) We did take photos of ds releasing them, but it was with the regular camera, I'll have to get the film developed to see how they turned out. Thanks for your help and for cheering us on! We definitely want to do this again sometime!
