Hi! I have a couple of questions about the laws in Louisiana. We moved here from KY earlier this summer, and I am wondering about how to go about homeschooling legally in Louisiana. For instance, in KY we had to fill out a form every year at the board of education's office with the names and ages of those being homeschooled. That's all. Well, I am not sure about everything down here. Anyway from Louisiana want to help me out. How do the LEAP tests work? Thanks! Tara
I'd check out HSLDA's page on the laws per state and then google the LA state homeschool group. I started with those 2 type places when we moved to VA.
I would go to CHEf of Louisiana's website. I am not a member of the group, but I downloaded the booklet. It helped a lot. It explains everything. It even has sample letters to the school board etc. Click on resource store. I would post the link, but I have not been a member here for long enough.
