You need that trailer we were talking about earlier Kris!

When you move, are you still going to live in your RV or get a house?

It sounds neat, but how would you attach stuff to it?

I am thinking either with tape or stick glue , then unroll it for studying and adding more, roll itup to put it away?
do you think it would work?

Deena, that is a great timeline.
You've inspired me to make a plant timeline for Emma's lapbook she is working on. It is going to have the birthdates of the flowers we are planting.
We are going to attach it to the inside of the folder and make it so it folds in and out.

    See!!!
This is why I love this place. All of you are so creative in your own ways!;)

I was just thinking that tape or glue may come undone after a few times of rolling and unrolling....? I don't have a better solution though.

sigh ya, thats true, it would not last would it... something has to work, maybe a book would be better, like with folds> we could do an accordion fold... connecting the pages with duct take?

That is why we went for the notebook approach. This way we can pull it out and lay it out if we want but...it's tidy and small for when we aren't using it.

of course it could work as a rolled up thing if we use premanent markers and acually draw and write On it....

TMom, somewhere online they have ideas for timelines. I can't remember them though! I think one had to do with using the tri-fold science fair things. Do you know what I mean? Most teacher stores have those, and gluing stuff on those DOES seem to work, cuz we've done it before, and 2 years later it's been still stuck tight!

How do you manage to get to four whole pages before I even see the topic?

We have a wall, too, but it's not near as nice as Deena's!!! For those of you interested in book timelines, there's excellent instructions on Donna Young's site. Artist sketch books work well, too!

I love timelines. I have quite a few sites saved which I plan to use in making one. From creation type pictures to historical people and paper dolls figures.
I would post them now except because of a lot of computer problems I have had, I now have a new hard drive and I havn't got my links over from my old one yet.
Lol now if dh can get a few minutes spare....I will get my links back. I'm lost without my links!!

Wow! Now I can't wait to do a timeline! I like your idea, TeacherMom, of being able to roll it up. What about using a puzzle mat? Maybe that would work. I think you can get them in different sizes.
