Sometimes it is easy to see adverbs when they are right next to the words they modify, other times we just have to look at the words and see if they give us more information about another word (verb, adjective, or adverb).

Tomorrow tells when you will go.

    Yesterday tells when she played.

In the first sentence.. isn't the verb will go, not just go?

Yes and no. GO is the main verb, WILL is the helping verb, and WILL GO is the verb phrase.

That is one reason I like Easy Grammar. It teaches the student to mark out all the prepositional phrases first and then look for the other parts of speech. Wish I has known that when I was in 5th grade and confused about adjectives and adverbs.
