So Dh finally caved in and got the children a puppy...everyone is happy with her even DH but she doesn't have a name....please help us choose a name for her. Here she is our nameless little girl...
We have no clue...none at all...we just need to give her a name. She's a real sweetie and so eager to please us!
You know I suggested that to Hubby and he vetoed it instantly...he doesn't want a name with the "ie, i, e, y" ending sound...he says they are lame.
I like Daisy...but DH says is too generic and unoriginal...I guess I can't blame him but good grief she is a dog...She is really sweet though!
I dont' think in my life I've ever had a puppy so quick to learn and so eager to please. I put her on a collar and leash for the first time ever and she ran right by my side the whole time, then when we brought her home it only took me two times of showing her for her to know to use the piddle pad and not my carpet. She's happy to lay down at our feet and sleep and doesn't try to jump up unless we are on the floor with her.
Heehee...he sounds like my husband. He named our first cat Major Thomas Dinsdale and another one The Amazing Luther Vandross. I like names that are people names and easy to yell (should they ever accidentally wander from you). Do a google on unique girl names for dogs...you'll find a site with a list similar to baby name lists. Surely you'll find something original and inspiring.
Well, *I* like Maggie, even if it does end wrong, lol! A MUCH better dog name than Marguerite! Our girl is Claire, a name that came with her when we got her from the pound. Our boy is Prince Caspian, but we just call him Prince (which I consider lame!). I had a Brandiwine Took (from The Hobbit), and called her Brandi.
Sunday...again, it's easier to call. Just think about having to holler her name. Sunday can be called just like it sounds. Caramel would come out sounding like Car..MALLLE or Care-MALLLE. Ok, I'm from the south and have a southern accent and that's how I would sound...obviously someone with a different accent could probably pull it off without sounding crazy. Oh, well...at least he got it down to an easy choice!! Let us know which you choose.
Definitely Caramel! Love it. (I see the dobie in her, too. She looks almost like our golden did as a puppy, but the dobie sets her apart a little.)
I am in the middle of reading where the red fern grows to my boys and when I saw the picture I instantly thought of "Little Ann"
