Joyce, I am NOT a science person, but we got "Considering God's Creation" just recently. My kids are REALLY ENJOYING it. I do both my DDs, ages 8 and 10, together and have my DS (just turned 5) do some of the stuff with us, too. The lessons are teacher-friendly and easy to do.

    Oh yeah, Jackie,

You or somebody mentioned that one other time. I never got around to really looking at it to decide if I want to get that. What is the website for that again? (I forget which post we were talking about it on.)

    Thanks!

Though i've never been to the site. After a few weeks working with it, my kids and i are enjoying it. I have two children's workbooks for my girls, and then I copy some of the pages for Phillip to do.

The only way *I* LOL can do science is *total immersion* for a while.

*Momma* can't move to fast on science....I want all the little details! Good thing the boys like doing it that way too

We started our Apologia's Exploring Creation through Astronomy and really like it too.

Apologia makes an elementary series called Young Explorer Series..There are just the botany and astronomy but hey its *total immersion*.

The astronomy is a 4th grade level. You read the text for the first week and then do the activities for the second week..

I really like it because it uses stuff/junk around the house, not to mention the beautiful way it gives credit to the Creator. :D Pictures too are beautiful and colorful...

I have yet to see Considering God's creation......I'm marking all this stuff down for the curriculum fair this summer

Off to put some more money in the piggy bank for the summer... .01 cents, .02 cents

We have a science thread somewhere, don't we? Seems like Tina started it??? Anyway, I got my Considering God's Creation from the publisher. It was the same price after shipping no matter what company I ordered through, so I decided to give my business to the people who make it.

It could use some color, I will say that. I've looked into Apologia as well and at this point I plan to get it sometime, especially their upper level science courses. For now we are slacking off a bit of the structured stuff. We've had alot of life changes lately and are going with the flow and doing very well, I might add! Good thing we are all readers in this house (even 8yo ds!!!!!! Yippee!!!!!) or I'd feel like we were slacking off a bit too much!

Sorry to get off topic there....I'll try to control myself.....thinking of ds being an AVID reader is just something you can't sit still about!!!

I got "Considering God's Creation" from CBD, since I had some things I needed to order from there anyway, and had a discount coupon if I spent more than $35. The price was pretty much the same no matter where you got it.

I'm hoping to use this for the rest of this year and next, then put my oldest into Apologia's General Science. A friend of mine just ordered it for her son, so I'm hoping to get my hands on it first to make sure it's "really" what I want!
