Just thought I would let you all know that we had our baby boy! He was born on Dec 2 at 5:06am, 7 lbs, 4 oz, 19 inches long. I would post pics but they are all on my phone right now....maybe later if I get a chance! I am so glad I am not pregnant anymore and I have a sweet baby to hold.
Congratulations. I hope mother and baby are doing well. I bet his brothers and sisters were excited to meet him too
Ok now that I have a little more time I can post a few more details. A few weeks ago I was showing signs of preeclampsia so my midwife suggested that I go to ER. Most of the tests came back normal but some of them came back abnormal. We waited a few more days and then everything flared back up. I was planning a home birth but given my condition my midwife thought it was best to transfer care to an OB. So I went in again for tests and they ended up inducing me. Not the birth I wanted but I was grateful that the baby was healthy and I was too. After months of deliberating with my dh we had settled on Jacob Daniel as his name. Once he was born though it just didn't seem right. It took us nearly 12 hours to finally agree on a name but we finally named him Nathan Thomas. I am just glad he is healthy and here.
Both names are lovely! Welcome, little Nathan. BTW, did you know Nathan means "A Gift of God"? I know, because I thought I was pg a while back. We were doing NOTHING to get that way, and I figured that if I were I'd have to consider this child as God's special gift. So I checked out which name(s) mean God's Gift, and Nathan was the one I settled on. And then it turned out I wasn't after all. (DH, when he found out, asked, "Is it possible to be relieved and disapointed at the same time?")
Nathan Thomas is a wonderful name, I love it! Of course I am a little partial to Thomas as that is both my middle child's middle name and my husbands name as well.
