Wow, it feels so great to be here. We (my family and I ) moved to Nigeria from The good old US of A and we decided to homeschool our children. We really want to give them the best chance at a world class education. We were nervous when we first started especially seen as there are no official homeschool boards in this country but we have settled down. If you have any thips that you would like to share please comment below. Thanks
Nigerian homeschoolers hi, I am a nigerian who currently resides in Dubai and homeschool my 4 kids. I will be coming back to nigeria in 2013 insha Allah and I intend to continue homeschooling my kids there. I will very much love to meet you when I come back so we can start a meet up group. Hopefully, I can convert some more families into homeschoolers. lolhttp:

Hi I'm so excited to find this forum. I'm American (Mexican) & my husband is Nigerian. We are planning to move to Nigeria (Abuja) from Dallas, TX in September along with our 5yr. old . We are planning to homeschool him. It helps that I taught first grade for 11yrs until I had my son. I would love to connect with other families who are homeschooling to socialize and share ideas. I am pretty confident in my "teaching abilities" but not so sure about the "social" aspect of homeschooling in a place where we don't really know anyone.
Possibly moving to Nigeria in 2 years Hello, our family may possibly be moving to Lagos, Nigeria in 2 years and we have a child that is currently in 4th grade in public school here in Ferndale, MI. Have you found out yet if the government of Nigeria allows home schooling? Have you met any other home schoolers there yet? I have never home schooled but it looks like that is what we will happen as the cost of private schools in Nigeria are too great. Sorry for all the questions but any direction you could provide for home schooling in Nigeria would be great. Please reply here or at homeschoolnigeria777@yahoo.com. Thanks
