Jackie what did yo use? We used SOS 11? It is pretty good, DD used Life Paks and we did the projects it recommended, it was very independent non text book .. there was one I had downloaded a couple years ago that I can't find the name of it was really great looking set up well and everything, I just can't remember the name! BJU has great Text book too ds1 ( now 23) used that, it came in two books, text and notebook
I don't want SOS. We're going with MOH4 for this year, but that's World, not American. I'm just kicking the can down the road for now!

No. I think originally it was suppose to have a strong emphasis on US, but then the author decided that most people were going to do US separate, so she concentrated on world events instead. Which is fine with me, because most American students are woefully ignorant of world history past the Renaissance and Age of Exploration, unless it directly effects our country, such as the World Wars.
