    Thanks. Yes, absolutely.

I also saw the CD with printables, but then you still use up printer ink, so I never know if it's worth it. I hate running out of ink. There isn't anywhere close that carries the right number cartridge...even then sometimes the far away place is out and it's so stinkin' expensive!:x I guess my buying extra workbooks is more of a convenience thing.

yep, and they say on the one site at least that you can reprouduce for your family!
    So that works for me!

I am going to tell dh to get the rs4k one first, then we will order the other for second semester... dd and I counted teh weeks and days, and since they will cross one another in some areas, it will reinforce and be a good way to get it going I think.

hows this for throwing a nother wrench in it,... dh wants to go with SOS or Apoligia Chemistry lol... SO he said to ask dd which one of those two she wants to do and he would get that for her.... I admit it will probably be better to use the SOS that teachers her, and has me as an assistant and helper as well as Lab partner ?
ANd he is happy with them both. I had him look at the ones I mentioned, but they did not meet his critieria and he thought ( wisely enough) that I was biting off more than I could chew.

I've been looking at RS4K since you originally posted it. I think I may get it for my kiddos (level 1 for my 5th grader and then the pre-level 1 student book for my younger kids but do level 1 experiments). We've started Apologia Zoo 2 but I want my oldest to have more general topics too.

Anyway, thanks for posting it. I do agree that it's probably not enough for full high school credit so I hope your DD can decide between SOS and Apologia.

I debated between it and NOEO Science Chemistry for dd for next year. I was so close to clicking the "buy" button. But when I realized that it was that expensive, but only a quarter or semester long, I went with NOEO Science.

Rainbow Science looks good to me too, so I hope it works out!

I think RS4K looks VERY good, just the price throws me for a loop! ;) I wish they'd make it last a little longer!

Yes, and maybe someday they will advance it to HIGH SCHOOL, thats where I was disappointed, dh looked through it, saw it had frills and such but he wanted to stick with what he knows works.
Dd will probably choose SOS cause she HAd asked for sos everything but math, as part of her choice to stay home... so we will see... it adds up but at least I can make sure she is keeping up by checking my Teacher stuff, I am bad at letter her slide, the other two I was always on top of but because of her being ahead she was always the one I did not worry about , eh-heh, I know Bad routine!

Yeah, but easy to do! BTDT! (been there, done that)

I think with all the research you've done you'll be more on top of things! I always am at first, but I tend to start letting things slide after awhile. Gotta keep on them next year! The two I have at home are fairly good, but I let them slide too much. So now I'm going to need to buckle down with the work!

Mine are usually good too at keeping up, we had more trouble keeping the oldest doing, but now that the two are home its push through. I think with SOS next year it will help... dd will see if she is behind and so will I!
