We are a new homeschooling family. I was searching for A/B block scheduling ...mostly to validate my desire to do so lol..and i came across an thread on this board

We have three children Glo 13 (8th grade), Bub 10 (5th grade), and Joy 9 (4th grade). This is our first year homeschooling. We are a military family (18 yrs down 2 more to go!!) and live in Virgina. This state allows for you to file religious exemption claiming your GOD given right to control your childs educational needs. You can also just do a regular intent to homeschool and follow the districts protocols on testing (we filEd the other way).

I'm not sure how active this board is..but I figured I'd give it a shot. I need to get away from facebook but I still need to talk to folks occassionally..lol.

Welcome, Tendin! This board isn't as active now as it can become -- it's still summer. Still, you'll find a diversity of beliefs, opinions, viewpoints, homeschool styles, everything. I hope you find what you need here. :)

Yeah that makes sense! I need to start over the summer so that we (I) feel like we're productive during the regular school year..lol. I don't want to be figuring it out while the other kids on the street are getting report cards ..yanno?
