Hey ladies!!! It has been SUCH a long time since I've poked my nose in here, so I thought I would stop and say "hi". I catch up with a few of you on Facebook, but for those of you who I don't...here is what has been going on lately in our home: As of this week I officially became a stay at home mom...YAY! Troy found a really great job at a local company. Only thing that sucks is that it's a 1-year temporary position. It was either take this job, or risk is unemployment running out in November...seemed like a no-brainer to us. lol The GOOD things about it though are the fact that he is making great money, his foot will be in the door at this company which is normally a REALLY hard company to get into, and it enables me to be home. Troy is still going to school for fire fighting and EMT stuff at night and working at the fire station some evenings while he is working during the day. So, he is crazy busy. Since I became a stay at home mom things have been VERY different...in a good way. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (during the school year) I am working at a local church in their MOPS Daycare Classes. Aiden (now 3 years old) comes with me for free and gets to learn more about our wonderful God for those 2.5 hours he is there. Starting in November I am also going to be watching a friend's baby part-time 3 days a week when she goes back to work. So, even though I am a SAHM, I'm still "working" a little...but fun things that still enable me to be there for my family and make them my priority. Tanner is now in 3rd grade. He is attending the local STEM academy...for science, technology, engineering, and math. It is at the same school he has always gone to, but this year they changed the curriculum, etc. So far he loves it. The curriculum is geared to be more hands on...great for BOYS! Troy and I celebrated our 10th anniversary this last month. I wrote him a song and recorded it as a present. Wish I could play it here, but don't know how to attach it. That's really about it. Through all this craziness with Troy's pending job situation, God has certainly showed us who is truly in charge...lol. But seriously, He has taught us great patience and that he truly provides for His people and knows our needs. Him timing is always perfect indeed. Hope you ladies are all doing well, and if you could, just pray about Troy's new job!
Hey, Jen!!! Glad to hear all's going well with you! Can't believe Aiden is that big already. Seems he was just born yesterday. I can still remember the picture of Tanner, all ears and grin, holding that teeny little guy!
That is great to hear...I know you have been wanting to be a SAHM for some time now and great news about Troy getting a job too!!! Its amazing how much the boys have grown!! So glad to hear that everything is going well for you and your family!
I can't believe I forgot to attach a few pics. Here is a pic of Tanner from his first day of school, and a pic of Aiden at his first day at the church MOPS school group!
