The transfer paper with pictures from your printer is a fun thing as well. Make sure when you look for them that you get the kind that is specific for color of shirt type. They make hot peel ones...ones you apply with an iron and peel immediately, and they make cold peel ones, ones you still apply with an iron but wait to peel off after a certain time has passed...normally 30seconds. BUT.....:)!:)....<always is one right?>....you need to double check the instructions as there is a difference if you use the one for light colors...(ie pastels, white, light gray...) and one for dark colors...(ie black, darks...like you would throw together in a cold wash load into your washing machine). Another thing to keep in mind, is that when these items are washed then they tend to fade, since they are made from transfer sheets that you use to print from home and applied with an iron, it's a lot different that ones that are professinally applied using a different sort of process...they have a specific machine that is used to print the transfers, and it is applied with a press, and the platten are heated up very hot...and they are geared at lasting longer.

Not that I am trying to persuade you to not use this method, I just wanted to point out, that if you were to use this on a particular item to be washed frequently, then it has a large chance of fading. Now, on totes... they are a different story for me!! :D These are easy to make too!!! LOL

If you go to quilterscache . com (hope that works) you can print from templates for quiltsquares. These are easy to make into placemats, napkins, lap quilts, totes... the imagination is limitless. There are so very hard ones, but who knows? Maybe you will find something to trigger a combination of designs or find something that will/could inspire you in other ways? There are tons of patterns there.

I wanted to thank everyone that contributed to this thread, I've gotten tons of ideas here and was very happy to throw in help when I could!

Deena...if I can continue to help you in anyway at all, please let me know. Send me a pm, and I'll give you my email addy...if you want too that is!! :D;)
