http://www.canada.com/news/Home+school+hurdles/4864157/story.html I thought this article was an insightful look at what our fellow home schoolers in Canada have to go through.
I've seen articles like this everywhere but what a lot of people miss is that Quebec is NOT representative of the rest of Canada. It's a very unique culture and province and things can go on there that might be exactly the opposite of what's going on in the rest of Canada. So that article is about the hurdles Quebec homeschoolers face, not the rest of us. Im most other provinces it's a pretty easy affair to homeschool and nothing Quebec does will change that.
Quebec (only been there once) is a whole different world it seems. Different provinces have different regulations. I'm in Ontario and it is super easy to homeschool here - far easier than many states.
There are also states in the U.S. where it seems it is much harder to homeschool. I just said a prayer for those struggling in Quebec.
