really neat site on homemaking--she'll even send you e-mail reminders to help you keep on top of things! http://flylady.net/
LMAO I'm too picky about the cleanliness of my email inbox. I couldn't deal with email about if I was wearing shoes or not.
I've been there before. She's too much for me! I'm also the one who read Emily Barnes' book, and told Carl that anyone THAT organized MUST have a mental disorder, LOL! I wear slippers all winter, and go barefoot all summer. There's NO WAY I'm putting shoes on first thing in the AM!!!
My sister, though, is one of those who won't stop to eat or rest until her work is all done. She'll start at 6 a.m. and work until 6p.m. with no breaks. That's her whole Saturday. Her weekdays are just like that at her job.
Oh, Becky, she would make me feel SO INFERIOR!!! I hate having either my parents or in-laws visit because they're place is always perfect. My MIL is also a clean-all-day person. I, on the other hand, had to get something from above the refridge the other day. I SHOULDA KEPT MY EYES SHUT!!! I'd swear there's an inch of dust settled up there!!! Sigh.... Now I know it's there, I really do need to get it cleaned!
I guess I don't need any one to remind me to do all the house hold stuff, my husband says enough! And when it comes to reminding me to get lunch, I have 4 opinions on that!
the emails aside, I do like flylady's website some of her ideas have helped me out when I'm really stressed about housekeeping.
Jackie: I always try to remember that when my parents or in-laws visit, their homes looked like mine does now when their kids were home too. I bet if you asked, they'd admit to missing the fingerprints on the walls and the kids' projects everywhere. Carol
Carol, my mom said just the other day how it was sad and quiet after Jeanne and I left! Let 'em have their clean, neat houses. I bet we have more fun!
