Just curious....What is the "name" of your homeschool? Did you just use your last name or did you come up with something different?
We used to use last name family homeschool, but over time and realizing that one day my kids would need transcripts for college or to go back to high school depending on our choices....we changed it to something more official sounding. It looked a lot better when we transferred into our charter school with official report cards from homeschool tracker that had our school name and CAT test results with our school name as well. I know of some homeschoolers that were given grief over their records b/c it was evident that they were homeschoolers. It shouldn't be that way but it is...technically everyone in our state is a private school that homeschools. The more official your name sounds the better it looks on paper and transcripts.
For the first few years we were LifeGlow Academy (Learning Is Fun Everyday with God Leading Our Way) but when we started considering breeding and selling chicken and milk goats (and eggs and milk) we decided we needed to 'name the farm' and we decided on Abundance Hollow so we decided to rename the homeschool Abundance Hollow Homeschool. This a a rather recent development so we're still working on a mascot, logo, colors and verse.
I have never named our school although I have thought about it. I have never lived in a state where we needed a name or anything. However, I most likely will come up with a name in the next year though before my oldest goes into high school. His transcripts will look better if they have an official sounding name.
We came up with a bunch of names and then voted on them so that my oldest could have a name on his diploma. Anyway we voted on Haven Christian Acadamey.
Our school name is RiverTree Homeschool. It comes from Psalms 1:2-3 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
Four Oaks Academy We have to give a school name when we register with the state. Our name comes from Isaiah 6:3, "They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor." We are a family of four.
My school is Full Armor School. I did pray about it first, but I think I was influenced about where in the Bible I'd been reading just before praying about it.
St. Bernadette's Homeschool. But we rarely use it. I think maybe I used it on one of my boys' transcripts. Maybe. Mostly, my kids just jokingly refer to it as St Bernadette's School for Little Angels.
We have always used "Lastname Family Academy" but lately Mountain House Academy or Mountain House Homeschool has really been stuck in my head. We don't use it for much of anything, sometimes catalogues for teaching resources will require a school name and we put it on our Book It coupons, but nothing else really, just have it for fun.
