The above is a quote from Dr. Ron Paul - the only presidential candidate who is decisively pro homeschooling.

We are a homeschooling family in Fort Ann, NY. Our oldest son now attends R.I.T in Rochester, and our 2 younger children are still at school here at home.

We have had our dealings with the state, being harassed by our local school superintendent AND child protective services, and we'll be the first to vouch for the fact that New York state, like many other states, wants to keep a watchful eye over all the curriculae being taught to 'its' students. We don't believe the state has any lawful, constitutional authority for demanding tedious, time-consuming reports about our activities .. and then reporting us to CPS when they don't get what they want. We believe a presidential candidate like Dr. Ron Paul will help engender a more homeschooler-friendly environment.

If you dont know about Ron Paul, please(!) - do your 'homework' and inform yourself about his platform. you may not agree with all his views, but he's our only candidate who ACTIVELY supports the U.S. Constitution. his views are, essentially, our views.

If you're not involved with his campaign - get invovled. And get others to become involved. Theres literally no other candidate who is as supportative of homeschooling. Also check out his video at ronpaul2008.com/homeschoolers/.

I am trying to reach out to homeschoolers in our state to initiate more awareness of his campaign. If you know of any homeschool-oriented forums that might benefit from a post on his campaign, please let me know. Or just help in whatever way you can.

I went on Halloween - it was FABULOUS!!!

 

This is not spam. And Huckabee is no friend of homeschoolers. As a homeschooler for over 8 years, I will say that I've researched both RP's record and Huckabee's thoroughly.

I will post a separate thread about Huck's position first to not dilute this thread.
