Homeschooling bad for eyes??

    Seriously, this Optometrist is convinced homeschooling contributes to bad eyes. Really. She has been in her field for over 10 years and says homeschoolers are more prone to nearsightedness. Seriously.

    I agree, get a new doc!!!!
    I would say that even if that was true in the least little bit that it would be like GoodNSimple said...their parents would notice it right off.
    but I just don't believe it. Especially with telling you to get the glasses when their vision is fine. Maybe the glasses would cause nearsightedness which would give her more $$$$$!!!!!

    What!I thought I heard all of the silly statements antihomeschoolers come up with. However, your Optometrist statement takes the cake!

    So is that why my son's former public school stop giving homework:lol:

    My (and my children's) ophthalmologist and his wife homeschool their four children. We don't have any appointments scheduled with him for another ten months. I hope I can remember to mention this startling discovery to him then. :lol:
