Seriously, this Optometrist is convinced homeschooling contributes to bad eyes. Really. She has been in her field for over 10 years and says homeschoolers are more prone to nearsightedness. Seriously.
I agree, get a new doc!!!! I would say that even if that was true in the least little bit that it would be like GoodNSimple said...their parents would notice it right off. but I just don't believe it. Especially with telling you to get the glasses when their vision is fine. Maybe the glasses would cause nearsightedness which would give her more $$$$$!!!!!
What!I thought I heard all of the silly statements antihomeschoolers come up with. However, your Optometrist statement takes the cake! So is that why my son's former public school stop giving homework:lol:
My (and my children's) ophthalmologist and his wife homeschool their four children. We don't have any appointments scheduled with him for another ten months. I hope I can remember to mention this startling discovery to him then. :lol:
