I'm back! Thanks Teachermom for the advice and help today. I have been out of the loop for a while now. Our son went to a charter school (not a good school), then to a private school, a good school but I didn't feel it was worth the money we were paying nor yielding the results I was looking for as far as his development. As a few of you may remember I hs'ed my two middle kids during the summer a couple of years ago. Our son was diagnosed as ADD and his 5th grade was a challenge with him not being engaged in school or his assignments. I decided to homeschool him because I don't think the money is justified with the frustrations that came with him being in private school and not trusting our area public school I decided to hs instead. My other 3 kids are still in school: Gabby in an all-girls catholic hs, my two middle kids in another charter school. They are doing well in the charter school or I would hs them too. Their school is doing well do as far as its test scores for those who care about those (like my husband). lol So now I'm looking at curriculum's and I know I will stick with SOS for history and science, maybe Bible and still looking at math and english programs. I'm leaning towards TT for math with the book. Thanks again Teresa for our help and input!
