The DD is 2 weeks old today. The week she was born, we didn't do any school at all. Last week we started just watching educational videos, reading books and playing educational computer games. We're still doing that this week, and probably next week too. After that we will most likely get back into the schedule we had before the baby was born (or as close to it as we can).
Today was also the first day DS went to his co-op in 3 weeks. I took the baby to the library with us, and she was just wonderful!

It's definitely been a whirlwind, these past two weeks. But I'm very fortunate that the baby is soooo good and barely cries.
It's also been hard dealing with guilt over homeschool, but I know we are doing just fine for right now. I'm fortunate to live in a state with no attendance requirements, and its not like we can't make up for lost time later on in the year (winter break, spring break and summer). It's also been a blessing to have the flexibility of sleeping in and not being stressed about homework and the school bus.
    Yay homeschool!!!

how cool! just keep the relaxed attitude! it is easier if you are not stressed, I did more work with my dcs when my baby was taking a nap, and let them do easier stuff when I had to deal with him.. wow that was 13yrs ago when I was only starting !

NO GUILT!!! OK, maybe you're not doing what you wanted exactly, but he's learning how to be a BIG BROTHER! And guess what...he's learning life skills that will serve him well when he's a daddy. LIFE is more important than academics, so relax and let him enjoy the new baby. You can get on with school when things settle down a bit!
