Leslie, I'm wondering how you're appraising your year. School's out for the children, so what does your summer look like? Will your job hours remain pretty much the same? What's next for your family? These questions are merely for starters. It would just be fun to get caught up a little bit on your life, if you care to share. 'Been missing you, but I enjoy seeing your posts whenever you do make it back on the Spot!
Well, you guys have done it again! You have made me feel so special by checking in with me! I am on our annual vacation in Disney World right now and my kids are waiting for me to take them night swimming. I have alot to catch you up on and as soon as I get home, I will get on and post away!! LOL Kris...there is a store here that made me think of you. It is called "Pooh's Corner" in Downtown Disney. We were there earlier this evening and I thought of how you would love that store!

Hi everyone! We are home and back in the swing once again. We had a wonderful vacation and are sad we have to wait another year before we get to do it again. As Prairie Home requested, here is our update: We finished out the year of ps pretty well. DS13 struggled with staying on task the last few weeks, but was able to pull through and do what he needed to do....but only with lots of "help" and "consequences" from his parents! LOL the kids enjoyed being back in school. They both have said it was not at all like they thought it would be and are happy with the choice we made. Which is such a relief to me!! They will both be together next year in middle school since dd11 will be moving into 6th grade. She is both excitd and nervous about it. she is going to take choir, which I am thrilled about. My job is going well, I guess. I like what I do there, and feel I have been given many opportunities to share God's love with people who need it. That part is wonderful. I have also made some good friends. However, I do not like working full time. I feel so disconnected from my life before and especially now that the kids are home for the summer. I have talked to my husband about cutting my hours back to 24 hours...I think he is fine with it and as soon as a position comes open that offers that, I think I am going to see about transferring. It helps a lot that our SUV will be paid off in August and that will save us $500 a month!! My parents finally got moved up here...I can't remember if I told you that or not. But it is great having them close by. I don't get to see them as much as I would like right now, but hopefully the job thing will work out soon and that will change. We are going to spend Father's Day with them, so I am looking forward to that. Well, I think I covered everything. I check in often, even if just for a minute, to keep up as much as I can. I pray for you all and your requests. I rejoice with you on the good and grieve with you on the not so good. And I hope to be spending more time here in the near future! Love to you all!!
What fun to hear an update, Leslie! It's great to be able to look back upon an agonizing decision and see that you made the right choice, isn't it? 'Sounds like you're headed in the right direction and that you and your parents are going to have a great summer! Keep in touch as you can, and know that we're thinking of you, too!
Wow, I missed this thread! Leslie girl, thanks for the update! We DO miss you! I'm just a little disappointed that you forgot Kris and me on your family vacation AGAIN! But at least you thought of Kris, even though you didn't think of me! Hey, that's pretty pathetic sounding, huh? :lol: I'll pray that a position with less hours opens up for you soon!
