How do I make US HISTORY fun?

    Our girls really like the Liberty's Kids series that you can get on DVD now.

    And at many libraries. Try to watch them in order.

    oh yeah! our kids loved liberty kids, infact dollar store or someonehad some cheap so I have a few copies! We still watch them now nd again

    I'd skip the memorization. Try to do lots of hands-on activities and read fictional accounts involving the historical figures. There are plenty of years ahead to memorize dates. I'd do a timeline so they can see where events appeared in history, but wait for the future to memorize dates.

    I look forward to doing US history. I was starting US History when we moved to Canada. Now I'm waiting for my kids (dual citizens) to get older and I'll do US History and Canadian history together. That should be interesting! Not sure how I'll handle the war of 1812.
