How do you prevent/get rid of deodorant stains that "bleed" through shirts? My shirts are left with white stains on the outside. Have you had this issue before and have you been able to stop it/fix it? Any ideas or information would be wonderful! Thanks! :D

We switched the kind of deodorant we use to clear gels for the ladies in the house. The hairy-armpitted men insist on aerosol, and we found that neither Brut nor Right Guard leave anything on Dh's navy blue uniform shirts. Ds uses a generic "Axe" brand and it is fine, too.

Best thing is prevention with non-white products. As for getting out the stains....I found that once I ran them through the dryer nothing seemed to help much. My go-to for pretreating stains on colored fabrics is Shout with the little scrubby attachment in the lid. I hope others have some better ideas for you.

I do not know what they are called but you can buy protective pads that you attach to the armpit area of your blouses. They are washable and you just reattach them again. I know JoAnnes Fabric store use to sell them. I THINK I have seen them at WalMart a couple of times.

The ones on this link are different than the ones I am talking about but it is the same idea. The ones I am taking about are reusable.

Guess I am not really frugal because once they are bad, the stains, out goes the shirts and in come the new.

Hmmm...the only time I get deoderant on my clothes is when I pull my shirt on after ive put on deoderant. And to fix that I just grab it and rub it against another dry spot on my shirt. Magical? Maybe.
