Ok, I think I've figured out what we'll use for school next year. What do think?

    DD:
    Language Arts-
    Power Basics - Basic English
Roots & Fruits for vocab & spelling
    Writing Strands 5

    Latin:
Oxford University Latin Course part 1 (& possibly part 2, depending on how fast she goes through it)

    Social Studies:
History - She'll be studying wars for 2 years. Next year she'll study - Trojan War, Crusades, Irish War of Independence, Hundred Years War, & Spanish Civil War.
We'll be using library books, internet, and any DVDs we can find on them. I'm buying a bunch of book binding kits, & she'll be creating her own books about the wars.
Geography - We'll continue with World Geography & You

    Science:
She'll be doing HS level Earth & Space Science. We're getting the Power Basic Easrth & Space Science student book & teacher book, but not the workbook & tests (she's not big on workbooks). I'll be creating Notebooking Pages for the different topics covered & she may also make books on the topics, as well.

    Art:
we'll continue studying artists & their styles, doing at least one project for each artist covered

    Music:
She'll continue learning theory, practicing her guitar (if we can get her to practice), and possibly learning piano.

    Math:
    TT Algebra 1

    Home Ec/Life Skills:
Cleaning & Organizing and Basic home maintenance (no curriculum needed)

Plus, we still have Rosetta Stone Level 1 Spanish, in case she decides she wants to try that again.

    DS:
    Reading & phonics:
    ETC books 4 & 5
    Starfall.com

    Science:
    Earlybird Start-Up Science 1 & 2
We'll also study the 5 senses with a homemade unit study, and do some Nature Studies

    Math:
    Mastering Mathematics

    Social Studies:
We'll be studying Pre-history (Dinos & Ice Age). For that we'll use various free resources & lots of hands-on activities.
We'll also study Community & Holidays, again with various free resources.

By the time we start our next school year, the second car should be up & running. So, we'll be able to do field trips, nature hikes, etc, on a more consistant basis. Also dd is in 4-H & ds is in Clover Buds.
So, how does that sound to you guys? I've been revamping this list over the last few weeks. I think this will accomodate all their special needs.
All I have to do now, is figure out a schedule that will work for us.

I have not used any of those, but it sounds like a well-rounded and fun curriculum.

I am guessing your dd is high school first year?
I think you have everything covered well if that is the case. Good job!

Are you planning out a schedule of time to do each of these classes? For instance hours per day or days per week etc? Just curious.
I found my dd didn't go with the time schedule as much as I wanted, ds does it well. He likes following time set up.

Actually dd will be in 6th, but she's really advanced in Math & Science. She's currently doing TT Pre-Algebra, so Algebra is the logical choice for next year. For Science, we've covered the basics in pretty much every area, so we thought we'd see how she'll do with High School level Science.
She's been doing Latin with Latin's Not so Tough, but I don't think it explains enough for her. She started translating sentences this year, but can't seem to get the hang of it. So, we're going to try a different curriculum. I'm hoping Oxford explains it better, so she understands the sentence structure.
For History, we start with Pre-History & work our way through. By the end of 5th, she'll be done up to modern times. I figure we'll spend 2 years studying wars, then in 8th start back at pre-History & work up to modern times again (more in-depth). My thought is that by studying the wars in 6th & 7th, we'll be able to gloss over them later, since she'll have studied them already. That way, we can spend more time on the other things that went on in each time period & what life was like. I remember spending so much time focusing on the wars when I was in school. It sometimes seemed that all we studied in History was war. I want her to know more about an era then what wars took place.
As for schedule, I'm still not sure. She has ADHD & was recently diagnosed with Bipolar. Scheduling has always been a problem for us, because of these. I'm thinking Math, Latin, Language Arts, and music practice everyday. Then maybe one or two other subjects each day. So maybe something like this:
Monday- Math, Latin, LA, guitar practice, Science, Home Ec/Life Skills
Tuesday- Math, Latin, LA, guitar practice, Geography, Music theory, history & appreciation
Wednesday- Math, Latin, LA, guitar practice, History, Art
Thursday- Math, Latin, LA, guitar practice, Science
Friday- Math, Latin, LA, guitar practice, History

I figure Home Ec/Life Skills will have some reading, but will mainly be hands-on work & experience. So, one day a week to assign her the work should be fine. For Art, I assign her the Artist, she does a short bio & a project in the style of that artist. So, one day a week to assign her the work should be fine. Then, I just have to make sure she has time during the week to do the bio & the project. She usually does those without much supervision. The Geography book we're using is easy enough that we can get through a whole chapter of reading in one day. Then, she has until the next Geography day to do any assignments or projects I assign for it. So, as long as we have time after the day's regular planned classes, she should be able to get the work done for all subjects. I might go ahead & assign Geography & Art on Thursday & Friday, just to make sure she has the time to do the work (and remembers to do it).
Right now, I'm thinking that's how we'll do the schedule. I want to get to the point where she can work independantly on all subjects. Right now, she has a hard time working independantly on some of them, though. We have plenty of time to get there, so I'm not stressing about it. I just try to make some progress towards more independant work each year.
