We have to test each year (after age 6). It's state mandated. If we didn't have to, I honestly do not know if I would or not. I agree that as the one teaching you know exactly where your kids are but it would be nice to actually see it. I probably wouldn't do it each year.
Beth, thanks for the info! I am fairly sure that is what we'll do this spring. Teachermom, one of my favorite books is Anne of Green Gables. Anne is the type of girl who is always dreaming and letting her imagination soar. She also seems to find herself in quite a few escapades due to having her heads in the clouds. I have many days like that, and it almost seems to be increasing lately.
