How much LA is too much?

    I think this is so important, yet maybe I am over doing it. You tell me.


    G.U.M. (grammar, usage, and mechanics)
    sequential spelling
    writing strands
    learning language arts through literature

    Okay I love G.U.M. by zaner-bloser and so does ds. We also love Sequential spelling, now we will be adding Writing strands to it, and we want to add Learning language arts through literature. Is that too much?

    I'd say the LLATL pushes it over the edge...BUT you could always pare down on the activities and enjoy the literature, copywork, etc. from it :D

    YEP! Too much! I'd also cut out the LLATL!

    I also agree!! I would cut out LLATL and just get some good children's books for some cuddle-up on the couch reading time.
