Just got a call from my dh's coworker. He got quite ill while on the train and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. I don't have any details right now, but am waiting for a call back from the hospital. He's three hours away! It's hard to just sit here, but I have horrid night vision and cannot drive at night. If it becomes necessary, I pray I can find someone to drive me and/or stay with the kids. I pray it's just a really bad case of the flu.
He is still at the hospital. They tried during the night to run a Cat Scan, but were unable due to his constant vomiting. Trying again this morning. Spoke to hubby a little bit ago. He did get a few hours of sleep, but is pretty out of it. Just wants to come home. His original symptoms were vomiting, tingling in the extremities, and feeling that something was torn in his upper chest. His heart rate stayed normal through all of this, though. Hope to know more soon. Thanks for all the prayers!
Sounds to me as if he's right where he needs to be for the time, until they figure out what's going on.
Hernia in the stomach area. Came home yesterday high on pain pills. Has a doctor's appointment in a few hours to get a second opinion. The original hospital/doctor wanted to do immediate surgery, but dh said no. Praying this will all go smoothly and not put him out of commission for very long. On the plus side, he and dd9 can now get caught up on art lessons. :angel:
