Hi ladies (and few gents), I have a huge prayer request for you. Actually, two. First, hubby has an interview tomorrow at 1pm for a job within the company he currently works for (GE Healthcare...which is a part of General Electric). To make a long story short...his job is currently a contract job. Meaning, it's a temp job. No benefits, and it's scheduled to end in Sept. This is how he got his foot in the door. This new job he is interviewing for is permenant, comes with benefits, etc. But isn't he a firefighter, you may ask? Well, yes, but not even near full time. He brings home peanuts (maybe $200 a month), and pretty much does that on the side because he enjoys it. THIS job at GE actually pays the bills! So...if you could PLEASE say a prayer for him, I would so appreciate it! We are SO thankful for everything God has done for us and are certain God will open doors. It would just be nice if God opened them soon so we aren't left to scramble when Sept. comes around. Second, my brother has been out of work for quite awhile (like a lot of other people). BIGGEST problem is, he doesn't get unemployment anymore so he has literally NO income coming in. He is currently living with my mom and dad, which is also putting a damper on them as they don't have a lot of extra money. To make another long story short, he was part of a college program that paid his tuition for two years and his unemployment for two years. What he didn't know is that because he was laid off from his previous job 6 months before he started this program, they counted those 6 months against those two years of unemployment. So, he was cut off unknowlingly and now is stuck with many bills and no income. PLEASE pray that a door opens up for him. He is faithful, although he does need an extra push towards God these days. He is depressed. He has a girlfriend who he loves, which I am thankful for because I think he'd be even more depressed without her around. He is looking for anything at this point. I know a lot of people are out of work these days, but my husband and my brother are so very important to me so these prayers are really close to my heart! If you could just take a couple minutes to pray for them, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks prayer warriors!!!:love:
Steve, he is in a unique situation. He spent about 5-6 years working as a CNC Machinist. When he got laid off there, that is when he started going back to college for Business. He is about 3 classes away from getting his Associates in Business, hoping to graduate next semester. He really wants to get out of the factory thing, but he will really take what he can get at this point.
Jen is your brother wants to move there are tons of jobs for cnc machinist down here. (((HUGS))) hope everything works out for you all. Keep us posted. PS. how is Tanner feeling?
Kris, he doesn't want to move, but if it ever came down to it he would. Tanner is so-so. Still has a high fever and body aches and probably will be home from school again tomorrow. :-( At least I get more snuggles.
