at how different my children are.

I have six children and EACH one of them has their own personal learning styles, paces, advantages and disadvantages.

Do you ever sit back and muse on that with yours?

Yes, it really is amazing how they can be so different. Heck, I even have "identical" twins and they couldn't be more different. LOL the fun is trying to find what really works for each of them when it comes to their education ;)

My kids are all very very different. With the new baby on the way, we have been doing a lot of talking about how the kids each have their own quarks.

My oldest is the one who likes to fight with us, my middle (dd) is daddys little girl, and is the girlyest girl I have ever met (but likes to play trucks and such too..lol), my youngest is the antagonist, he is always looking for a way to pick on people!

yep, it is amazing not only styles but if they can handle noise while learning, like listening to music helps one do her work while the other needs silence to focus, aside from his own voice.... Lol. The other gets so engrosed that he looses track of anything going on around him.

    OH Heavens yes!

We joke that we have the girls and the boys.
    The bookends and middles.
    These are each different pairs.

Our personalities have worked well, and I wonder if they had been different...
The oldest, typical first born, perfectionist, driven, serious.
Her use name is Slow to Smile. (first reaction to everything is negative)
The next one...who was a first born for 5 years... well, God knew that was not her "position" She is the charmer. Naturally talented at a range of things and funny too. (maybe a little scattered)
Her use name is Runs into Walls. (once literally knocked herself out dancing in the living room...the piano got in the way)
The next is very sensitive and sweet...but don't call him short or he will knock your block off. (it's getting better) Good at numbers and empathy.
His use name is Throw's Fits. (They were long and loud and usually public)
The baby...(who is now 8) When we were doing these "use names" was a baby so when the other kids asked about HIS name I said..."He is Sweeeeet Baby!"
and he was. But now, smart...popular, sneaky and a perfectionist.

I would have 100 just to see how they would turn out.
We might should redo the use names.
    the oldest might be
"Dakota won't let me" (her boyfriend)
    the next
"Is school over yet?" (she is a SR.)
    "Dance, Dance, Dance"
    and
    "It wasn't me."

    sigh. really love those guys!!!

I'm amazed at the difference in my kids too..

My oldest is super super creative and smart, but SOOOO sloppy and disorganized. She's like chaos in a 5'5" package.

My twins (also identical) are as different as night and day. M loves math, not crazy about reading, and is so shy around new people. S loves to read and draw, is the total socialite, and kind of a neat freak.

let me applaud you all for your twins and homeschooling!
You are a benifit not only to the twins but also to the school teachers who would probably have ended up dealing with pranks and other learning trials lol!
I love twins don't get me wrong I just know especially with identical twins when you are not the parent you are NOT the parent lol!
