Did anyone mention www.amblesideonline.com ? I don't use it, but know many who do. I guess you would start with year 7 for 7th grade?

Anyway, it's a "Charlotte Mason" method website....but usually the books are available at the library and such.

also. www.edhelper.com goes up that high and they have lots of stuff - the base membership is $20 - I think for HS grades it's higher but still reasonable.

    HTH. :D

I love the grammer101 website... we (meaning ds) took the pretest for unit one and got a 57%... I guess that means we have some room for improvement!
I think I may do this alternating with a journal entry... we will see how much he dislikes it. good = it is on the computer. Bad= it requires reading and actual "work"
But he hates the journal also.

I am still hoping our science comes together! I might resort to calling the middle school and finding out what they cover. argh. But a teacher (friend) of mine just gave us her old book...for 6th, (christian) so I need to look at that too.

    I found this site recently
    http://www.teachersfirst.com/index.cfm

It is so great. You have to join, but its free, no strings attached. It has lessons and links for everything you can imagine.

    Jennifer,
These are incredible suggestions, some of which I am using myself for 7th grade ( THANKS, GUYS!), but I just wanted to mention quickly something I have not seen in the thread.
One of the MANY things I do when planning is go to the BOE website for my state, and look at and/or download the grade level course of study. Of course, you do not have to follow it, but it gives me a guideline as to where his friends in PS are, another perspective on how to prepare for testing in the Spring, and just an FYI, in case he ever re-enters in the future.

    Have a great year!
