Last night, my kids had friends over so I made dinner and snacks, etc. Hubby brought home those bottles of "special" apple cider that's in wine bottles. Well, they were warm so I stuck both of them in the freezer-and FORGOT them! We heard a couple of noises during the night, and hubby went down to investigate but found nothing unusual. Today, my son goes into the freezer for snacks and starts yelling, "The bottles exploded!!!" Oh my goodness! Tons of glass and sticky, "icee" drink everywhere. It took us 1 1/2 hours to get the freezer and floor cleaned up. I hate broken glass, too. Hate it! :cry:
Oh no!!! I have done a can of soda here and there but never glass, what a nightmare! At least it was contained to the freezer and didn't fill the whole kitchen.
OH NO!!!! Sounds like something I would totally do, too…. Sorry that happened. Those things are NO fun at all!!!!
Oops. I think we have all done stuff like that. I had a soda explode in the trunk of my car before, gross. Sorry you had to deal with that.
I know it was a serious matter at the time, but this is rather funny! One day you will laugh at this.
