I really don't like the sun anymore. Its been here just way to long and wouldn't bring me any rain. I don't know what the state of Texas did to piss mother nature off but whatever, I wish she would get off her band wagon and take the heat and sun some place that needs it. You know its been along time since I seen rain or heard thunder. I know, I know we will get it when its time and then we will be crying because it wouldn't stop.. yea that is true. Like the saying goes if doesn't rain it pours. But, hey can't the weather do something different but shine all the time. My eyes hurt its to bright outside all time. You know mother nature for all this wonderful sun you are giving us and all this bright light I think you are going to have to pay for some new sun glasses for me, if you don't get off the band wagon soon. Ok Mother Nature, I am off my band wagon now you get off yours.
A bit like Elijah. (It didn't rain, so he prayed earnestly that it would do so, and then there was so much rain that he wanted it to stop.) Hope you guys can get some cooler (and damper) weather down there.
still looking for that stupid "like" button. I hate to brag, but we actually had a cloud the other day! Of course, it didn't do anything and it only lasted a couple of hours, but it was cloud. A beautiful, black and blue cloud that brought a wonderful breeze. I even smelled rain. But that could have been psychological. *sigh* Won't it be wonderful, though, when it does start raining?
My sister said it rained today in New Braunfels. I don't know how long it lasted. I would certainly love all your sunshine. Our forecast for the next few days is rain/snow. Summers are sooo short up here. I am ready for longer summers. I told my dh that I want this to be our last winter up here. I don't mind winters in MI because they don't last as long. This morning when they had 65 we had 32 - ugh. I guess we are just never satisfied, too hot, too cold.
Lee: Snow...yes, I've already heard of snow on the forecast recently.... How this year is flying by....
<sigh> I know how you feel. I love summer and heat and sun, but for the first time I can remember, I tired of it. I hoping (not too optimistically) for a long, cold, hard winter.
There's rain...I just think that there is a distribution problem. We've been getting it all. We are saturated and over-flowing. I'll go out and talk to these clouds and see if they can't start meandering your way.
I like that! 'I just think that there is a distribution problem'. LOL Maybe if the Dems manage to adopt socialism, then each area will undergo redistribution, according to its needs for rain. Something else for the Federal gov. to fix (and of course, another supposed reason for families to pay higher taxes). LOL
I'd love some rain too...we've been low on rain for a while now, although the other day we did get a whole 5 minutes of pouring down rain, but the weirdest part about that was that there wasn't a single cloud in the sky!!!
Even our 3 year old keeps saying "Sure wish we'd hear some funder here." Our poor farmers have no crops what so ever. It's just depressing. Just like a long, hot autumn because nothing really ever greened up I just keep saying that God's timing is not our own and His perfect even when we think He's lost His mind Some day it will rain....
I almost cried the other day when it sprinkled on us. All the weather forecasters are saying this could go for at least another year and up to 5 years!!!! I might shrivel up and blow away if there is 5 more years of drought. But it really looks like our chances of rain for the next year are slim to none unless that stupid girl moves away. ( La Nina...)
