I hate that there are not enough hours in the day to accomplish everything we want or need to do, including laundry!! Carol
Missneat.. have you looked into teaching textbooks? I haven't used them YET.. but plan on using them starting next year.. the 5th grade level for my son who will then be in 4th grade. They look great!!!
I hate when my daughter asks "is it going to be hard?" when we learn something new. I hate "I can't & I don't want to" I hate whining in kids & adults. I hate not having enough money to pay all the bills. I hate inconsiderate behavior-especially in adults. I hate phone calls before 9AM. I hate that my husband is unhappy at his job. I hate when people think I don't do anything all day long. I hate chips/cracks in my windshield. I hate curse words on bumper stickers especially now that my daughter can read. I hate that E-Bay put a ban on teacher editions. There's more but then it would seem like I hate everything!
I second this! We ARE using them and my kids LOVE them! They explain things so well, and the child can go over and over and over things if he/she needs to, because every single problem is on cd, and is walked through step-by-step!!! Some people balk at the cost (I did at first), but oh my goodness, it's WELL worth it to help the child truly understand and be able to move forward with confidence! They have placement tests on-line...
The cost shocked me too.. but I will use it for all 3 of my kids.. so with income tax we will buy it and horde it
Wow! I can relate to so many of these posts! I hate it when it is 7:00PM and I realize I forgot to defrost meat for dinner! I hate it when my mom calls in the middle of the day and I am stupid enough to talk for 2 hours! I hate it when my son decides that he has to rewrite a letter a million times to make it perfect. I hate it when my dog gets in the garbage. I hate it when my 2 year old says "dumb head". UGH...got it from a kid at church.
I hate that my husband gets to decide if we have more children (which we DON'T) I hate that my step children are too "busy" to come visit him I hate this baby weight that will NOT budge! My son is almost 4 months old and I'm still a cow! It seems like it went away a heck of a lot quicker when I had my first at 20 I hate that my daughter is such a daddy's girl...I wish she wanted her momma more than she does.
I hate not sleeping. I hate being up at 6:44am when I haven't been to bed yet. (Okay, well, I hate being up at 6:44am even if I went to bed at 6:44pm. LOL SO not a morning person.) I hate dh's schedule not working out precisely as he said it would. I hate water on the floor. I hate going to bed by myself every night. I hate not having a babysitter. And I hate, hate, hate having to do handwriting with my oldest! GRR! I hate doing laundry. and dishes. and floors. I hate loud, repetitive noise. I hate not going to church. alright. I'll stop. feels good to rant for no reason. thanks!
Wow! So many of you are reading my mind! I hate chores, any kind I hate that my dd whines and complains about almost everything, even stuff she wanted to do I hate that I got so frustrated with the kids' rooms being a mess, that I put all their toys in the closet & put a lock on the door. Now they have to have one of there when they get something out & put it away I hate that I had to put a lock on my bedroom door to keep my kids out of it I hate that my dd seems incapable of talking in a civil tone of voice most of the time I hate the total lack of sleep my insomnia causes I hate the medical condition I have that no Dr wants to fix (most Dr.s I talk to have never even heard of it!) I hate that my ds refuses to use the toilet, even though he knows how, and is still in pull-ups & diapers when he's almost 4
Brandi.. I could have posted all of these except the one about the medical condition.. and my DD will be 3 and refuses to even attempt the potty, I'm a firm believer in not pushing her though.. I'm thankful she isn't in a daycare where she would be pushed to be potty trained.
I'm the same way. I know he knows how. I know he'll do it when he's ready. I refuse to force him, though. I just wish he'd do it already!
My hates pretty much echo yours! My 10 yo could be described similarly.. but I look into his big blue eyes and I know I'm doing what's right. I am sure you feel the same way. Maybe it's a boy thing? I also hate feeling so tired all the time! Please tell me it gets better!
I can't say much about being tired all the time getting better (I'm an insomniac), but eventually you get into a schedule that works for you and your kids and things calm down. Once you find what works best for your family, you have more good days & a bit less stress. It just takes some time to find the balance you need.
That's what I'm waiting for. I'm not an insomniac, but I usually get about 3-4 hrs of sleep a night because I just can't relax, and for reasons involving medical problems. I just try to hope that it will get better.
My I hates... I too hate it when it takes all day for my ds to finish his school work. I hate it when my ds wets the bed or his pants, and when asked "why" he says he just didnt want to get up to do it, or didnt want to stop reading playing etc. Its so frustrating. I hate it when Ihave to go grocery shopping, I hate it when I run out of pepsi.. lol Theres tons more, but thats all thats bothering me today. Jackie
I hate when I go on vacation..........and then I am actually expected to come back home! I hate that I can't go camping again until January. I hate science.
