I have six children. I can SO relate to the person who posted the thread about being bored after week 8. I also think it's 'cause I'm overwhelmed. I have struggled with some health issues the last couple of months. BECUASE of that, school has been wishy washy. The MINUTE I allow my children any little slack.. what happens? Does anyone want to guess?:roll: So my teenager (the oldest) has been giving me the biggest grief. After some prayer and a lot of thinking.. I got hard core. I sat down the last THree days (when I had free time) and typed up a spreadsheet for EACH subject for the next 6 weeks. *insert evil mom laughter* There are no more excuses on why school is not finished. Everything is there.. it's self explanatory. I'm there to help 'instruct' him but he's one of those self learners. I just need to be ON TOP of checking his work. I am SO excited to do school tomorrow! WOO HOO! The other five.. they're cake compared to what he does. so.. Is tomorrow MONDAY? Bring it on!!!
I love your attitude! Come on Monday. (If she can do it with that many kids then I can manage with two daughters and a head cold.) Thanks for the inspiration this morning Heatherlynn. Have a great day. Beth
So, how is going? I hope it is going well! I put together a no excuse program this year for my kids so they always knew what was expected and it is going well. But I don't have a teenager.
It's going pretty good! I was reading around here and the "buzz" word was "lapbook" SO.. here's a link to my blog "Symphonyodd" THat said.. it's nothing like others do.. but the younger children enjoyed it. My oldest was pretty cantakerous today.. I wonder if it's because there is a no nonsense law now. hmmm..
