I have tried to make bread for ages now but kept failing it would never rise always tasted doughie etc etc

So yesterday i decided to try again as its been a while and guess what it worked i used the kneader on my free standing mixer and it worked :D it tasted lovely and now dh wants me to make 4 loaves on a saturday and freeze them for the week. does any one else do this? so you slice the bread before you freeze it?

Now all that is left is to try and work out a gluten free bread receipe for my baby who is allergic  i have worked out cakes, biscuits, cereals etc for her which she loves but bread is a problem for her and me!

I'm proud of you!!! No, I don't make up enough to freeze, but I try to bake it one a regular basis.

    Good for you!!!!!!!
    I love homemade bread!

I make bread. I like to slice up one loaf so we can take out a few slices from the freezer at a time. The extra loaves I freeze whole.

    Good for you!

I bake about one loaf of sourdough bread a week to two weeks depending on if my husband is in town or not, but I don't freeze any. I make sourdough hamburger buns and freeze them to use as needed. I also make biscuits about once a week or so--mostly to wrap hotdogs.
