My dad just brought me a flat of beautiful strawberries, picked fresh today. I want to make freezer jam. I have never made it before so please give me an easy recipe! I am going to put the strawberries in the fridge until tomorrow when I can get to them. I have to work today! TIA!

I have never made freezer jam, but I have heard that the recipe on the Sure Jell package is very good. A friend told me it is very sweet and that she doesn't use as much sugar as it calls for. Someone on here will have a good recipe I am sure. Strawberries never last long at our house. We love them just about any way you can fix them.

Agree with Beth the SurJello has a good recipe that I have used many times and it turns out great.

ME!!! ME!!! I make freezer jam!!! And yes, it is SO SIMPLE!!! As said, get some Pectin (Sure Jell is one!) that specifically says FREEZER JAM on the box. You mix the box with some sugar, then add your mashed berries, stir it up, and put it in jars. That's pretty much IT!!! (Rather than mashing my berries, I chop them a handful at a time with my Pampered Chef Food Chopper.)
