    Hi Ladies!

In the last couple of days I've had an epiphany of sorts. I've decided, with the help of God using His people to help me, that we are using the wrong curriculum. School is NO FUN! So, since I've spent the money on curriculum and the DVD program for the girls in the current curriculum, we are going to stick with it until the end of the year. BUT, we are going to pare it back a ton! And, what I would like to do is bring in some fun stuff. Websites, games, etc... You know, the kinds of things that are fun and your kids don't even realize they are learning! I think websites would be of particular interest as our curriculum is heavily workbook based and my kids love to get on the computer. So... please, do share!

While I'm at it, I'd like to share something that my pastor's wife shared with me yesterday. She said "You need to make your curriculum work for you, not you work for the curriculum!". Isn't that GREAT? I told her I need to have that framed (I am a slave to curriculum and what I am "supposed" to be doing) and she needs to write it down. She said it was a God thing as it just came to her. Anyway, I thought it was brilliant! So, I just had to share!

    TIA!

I made this page for my kids...
    http://www.jennifererix.com/kidspage_02.html

My kids are second grade and younger and I made this page as our browsers "Start" page.

They can turn on the browser and go play anything they want. Most of the games (Especially to the left) are actually school games. Some, like "Monkey Bar" are solely for reward to blow off steam after some good work....

Any site that asks you to register, is free, so no worries, there...my sister in law and I have been doing a lot of curriculum dropping, in trade for fun school on the computer.

We still have our paper time, but there is nothing funner than learning your multiplication facts while battling aliens, eh?

    Good luck!
